A place for senior dogs to live out their golden years in peace and comfort

Our Mission at Old Friends:

To provide a loving home, good food, high quality vet care, compassion and comfort to senior dogs for the remainder of their lives.
To provide education on the joys and challenges of caring for aging dogs.
To work with other dog rescue groups to promote the adoption of senior dogs.

We are a home based sanctuary currently housing 12 dogs aged 8 and over as well as two young dogs who keep things lively.

    I am in Columbus Ohio and my focus would be dogs. I want to get the seniors out of shelters but I also want to keep them from going there in the first place. I volunteer at a local animal shelter and a lot of the dogs surrendered come from family members who can't care for pets of loves ones who have gone into a nursing home or who have passed. I would like to be a resource to help these animals find a place to live out the rest of their lives, disrupting them as little as possible.

    the right food and proper exercise is all it takes for a dog owner to help his dog. Also cleaning of teeth of senior dogs is important
